Kelly - "The Astrologer's Daughter" (TM) - is an Astrologer and Tarot Reader that brings a fun and contemporary style to these ancient tools of fortune telling through accessible personal readings privately or at special events. Kelly loves connecting with each individual and translating the meaning behind the planets and Tarot cards in an engaging way that anyone can understand. While these techniques have been around since Babylonian times, Kelly doesn't need to show up in a caravan with a crystal ball and a raven to access the timeless wisdom and insight these "languages" have to offer. She is however happy to dress in the style or theme of the event (and has a beautiful crystal ball she can bring upon request:) Note: you're on your own with the raven.

What exactly is Astrology and Tarot?!?

Astrology and Tarot are ancient tools for gleaning wisdom through patterns and symbolism. By knowing what the planets were up to at the moment of your birth (which signs, houses and angles were they making to one another?) and the meaning behind each card in the 78-card Tarot deck (Romantic relationship? Professional opportunities? Dark night of the soul?:), a gifted reader can interpret which energies are being triggered and guide the querent (you!) on the best course of action (or non-action) that is supported by the cosmic currents.

From the interplay of planetary energies at the time of birth (Astrology) to the order and form the cards are laid out in a spread (Tarot), a symbolic roadmap is illuminated which offers meaning and direction to one’s immediate situation or life’s journey. While the best Astrology and Tarot readings incorporate natural gifts of intuition, it is not the same as a psychic reading or palmistry. Astrology and Tarot offer a mystical perspective and cogent guidance, reminding us that we are connected to a larger web teeming with synchronicity, magic and meaning for those open to its gifts.

Astrology READINGS

Note: All private readings are done by phone.

As above, so below. There are lots of different types of Astrology, and all have their value. I practice a branch of Western Astrology called Evolutionary Astrology. Evolutionary Astrology is based on the belief that while we were are given a certain set of energy potentialities as determined by the distribution of planets across the sky at the moment of birth, we are free to exercise the power of free will and choice to determine our fate. While themes or even timing of events in one's life may be evident in a chart, it is in the hands of the individual to consciously evolve… and evolving is exactly the point!

Evolutionary Astrology pays particular attention to the past-life karma and entrenched patterns we’ve “inherited” and shines a light on how to disrupt those patterns through a thoughtful analysis of the South Node (by sign, aspects, house). It’s fascinating what can be unpacked through symbolism of the South Node and can offer so much awareness and compassion for our blindspots or where we’re just doing what we know because it’s comfortable. Seeing the natal chart in this meaningful context, Evolutionary readings come alive and serve as a vital roadmap for growth and fulfillment. From a more conscious, aware and compassionate space for our history, we are free to make empowering choices and live the "higher expression" gifted in our unique energetic blueprint springing from the beautiful geometry of planets, houses and the way they “speak” to one another.

The Natal Chart: Birth Chart Reading: Who are you and why are you here?

The Birth Chart reading is the foundational reading that offers a comprehensive understanding of the energies one is working with in this life. By looking at a snapshot of the sky at the very moment of one's birth (which is why astrologers always want to know the exact time you were born!), an astrologer can clarify where the action is taking place this life and one's personal resources - both gifts and challenges - to successfully navigating the journey. In the Natal Reading we will dive into the South and North Node of the Moon to highlight the karmic patterns (in other words, what one may find very familiar this life) and then interpret one's Sun, Moon, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto by sign, house and aspects to illuminate the unique pathway towards joy, growth and fulfillment this life. 60+ minutes + Chart Notes included.

Couples or "Synastry" Reading: The Astrology of Attraction

A couples' reading - also known as a Synastry reading - compares two astrology charts (which can be romantic or familial) to gage compatibility and shed light on where the strengths and challenges may be in the pairing. Nothing is more fascinating, and perhaps more difficult, than the coming together of two distinct souls for the purpose of a relationship. Kelly also takes a look at the "composite chart" - which is an amalgamation of the two charts and reveals the couples' unique signature in the world (what are their areas of focus while they're together? How do they "rise" in the world? Do they have a more private or public orientation?) 120+ minutes + Chart Notes included.

Transits & Progressions Reading: The Astrology of Now & the Year Ahead

A Transits & Progressions reading reveals where you are in your evolutionary journey and covers about a year span. By looking at where the planets are now or how they've "progressed" we can thoughtfully gage what energy is being stoked in the year ahead and mentally prepare ourselves so we can work creatively with the energy rather than being blindsided. Transits & Progressions Readings helps one to take advantage of opportunities, planning for times of abundance and preparing for challenges. These readings equip us with the most empowering mindset and "weather-proof" us for the storms and rainbows ahead; times of harvest and times of lying low. Combination Natal + Transits & Progressions: Your Birth Chart + the Year Ahead (*My personal favorite)

In this reading, we cover both an in-depth look at your natal and the major transits and progressions for the coming year ahead. While we may not go as deep or long as an individual reading focused on one or the other, I believe this reading will give you the best of both worlds and set you up for an even deeper understanding of the more predictive chart. Since Transits and Progressions are triggering your natal chart, it’s great to have this understanding right before we dive into the meaning of the planetary movements. In this way, the natal is fresh in your mind and we see the moving sky in the meaningful context that is the natal chart. Even if you’ve have had your natal chart done before, every astrologer has a unique take and focus as an evolutionary astrologer, I love looking at what makes this person tick in this life, given the past life or early life karma as evident in the South Node of the Moon. 75+ minutes + Chart Notes Included.

The Astrodice: You've got questions, they've got answers… and quick!

The Astrodice are a fun and rapid-fire divination tool that deliver answers from a cosmic perspective with each roll (perfect for parties!). An answer to any question can be distilled by quick synthesis of the dice which reveal a planet, a sign and a house with every roll. The dice can be used as the main attraction at an event or as a button to ask a follow-up question. Like the Tarot, their accuracy is rooted in the intent of the querent and the best reading reveals what one knows deep inside but is sometimes unwilling to admit for lack of trusting themselves. Astrodice offer a great and inclusive group game where people want witness their friends' readings or large-parties where you want everyone in and out of the chair as quick as possible (kiddos also love them!)

The Selection of Auspicious Propitious Dates for Special Occasions: Pick a Time, but Not Just Any Time!

Having a baby? Planning a wedding? Organizing a Fundraiser? While there are certain things out of your control (like err … a global pandemic!), Astrology can help narrow down dates that would provide the best energy for the occasion. Just as a meteorologist can predict weather trends like rain or Santa Ana winds, an astrologer can predict the energetic vibes of the day, week or year, such as when love in the air (transits and progressions of Venus!) or people are feeling in more generous spirits (hello, Jupiter!).

The Tarot Cards…the world’s first card game that acts as a timely guide to personal questions! Full of evocative images foretelling the future, Kelly uses a traditional 78-card deck in the classic Ryder-Waite style complete with the suit of Pentacles, Cups, Swords and Wands corresponding to major life themes like love, money, state of mind and creativity. After the deck is shuffled (and cleared of previous readings and energies), the querent participates in the reading by “splitting” the deck (dividing into two piles), intuitively selecting the face-down cards after they’ve been fanned in front of you. Kelly then will interpret what she sees in the cards depending on the visual of the card itself, its corresponding meaning/mythology and the order in which you pulled them to give you a sense of your current situation and next steps.

The 3-card Spread: Past, Present & Future

Accessible, to-the-point "mini-readings" offering a card that corresponds to the querent's past, present and future. These readings are simple and straightforward; great for high-volume parties where each guest only has a few minutes to get acquainted with the divine novelty of Tarot reading!

The 5-card Spread: The Current Situation

This spread focuses on 5 cards representing the core situation, what's the obstructing or helpful element, what one knows, what one doesn't know, and the likely outcome. These 5-7 minute readings offer perspective on a current situation and how the querent can best engage with the matter. 3.) The 10-Card Spread: The Celtic Cross

The Celtic Cross reading is a classic reading and the most complete, offering no less than 10 cards to flesh out the energy around a situation and the fullest interpretation from core situation to final outcome. These are best for parties where guests have more time (10 - 15 minutes) or for personal readings done in person, via Zoom or over the phone.
